Montreal

Getting there: Iberia/American from Madrid, Air Canada back to Toronto (City Centre Airport for a change)

Where dpr stayed: Place d’Armes Hotel: the good – wonderful old building with amazing ambiance, lovely rooms with bathrooms about half the size of the 2ds’ condo, awesome toiletries, super comfy bed, great catering, perfect location in Old Montreal, the bad – wifi issues – dpr simply couldn’t get the wifi to work in room for some reason and the front desk wasn’t too interested in helping out with those issues either.

Fun: dpr was here for meetings, but had a bit of spare time to just explore the Old City. The hotel was on the same block as Notre Dame Cathedral and a short walk to all the fun of Old Montreal. It was also spectacular to go for an early morning run through a completely quiet city.

Tips: Arriving at the airport early, dpr went straight to the gate where an earlier flight to the City Centre Airport was boarding. Knowing that those flights are rarely full, she was able to get on it and get back to d2 with another hour to spare on a Sunday night! It never hurts to ask…!
